Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Process Operator to manage and troubleshoot batch and continuous chemical processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor, control, and troubleshoot chemical processes.
  • Adhere to safety protocols for storing chemicals, operating machines, and disposing materials.
  • Follow procedures for handling chemicals as per regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Execute tasks according to standard operating procedures.
  • Weigh, measure, prepare, mix, monitor, and adjust chemical materials using large-scale reactors.
  • Collect samples and perform in-line product testing to resolve issues before completing production.
  • Maintain documentation as required by local, federal, and company regulations.
  • Perform equipment cleaning and batch preparation.
  • Communicate inventory, planning, and quality issues to the supervisor or appropriate department partner.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write professionally in English.
  • Intermediate-level math skills for unit conversion and ratio calculation.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel and Word).

Preferred Skills:

  • Associate degree with a chemical/biological background.
  • Chemical/biological production experience in a regulated environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP.
  • Compliance with hazardous material regulations and wastewater handling.
  • Knowledge of handling reactors.
