Job Summary

Shaffer's Electrical Contracting, Inc. is seeking a skilled Air Compressor Technician to install, repair, and service air compressors and compressed air systems.

This is a unique opportunity to join a reputable company with a 35-year history of growth and success.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the installation and servicing of air compressors.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and operate air compressors and compressed air systems.
  • Repair and maintain air compressors and compressed air systems.
  • Troubleshoot problems affecting the smooth operation of air compressors and compressed air systems.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify defects, malfunctions, and other issues.
  • Document maintenance, repair, and installation activities as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, such as service orders, invoices, and timesheets.
  • Handle and maintain tools for diagnosing and repairing air compressors and related equipment.
  • Recommend systems or equipment to customers to optimize air compressor performance.
  • Travel to and from job sites, both within and outside of Florida.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in air compressor installation and servicing.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with expertise in air compressor maintenance, overhaul, and repair.
  • Ability to work independently, with strong self-management and professionalism.
  • Customer service orientation, with a professional image and demeanor.
  • Experience with equipment travel trailers and a valid, insurable driver's license.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to travel within and outside of Florida.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 100 pounds.

Work Schedule Range: Varies.

  • Overtime as needed.

Travel Requirement: Ability to travel within and outside of Florida.
