Job Summary:

As a Critical Care Specialist with the University of Rochester, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. Your primary responsibility will be to provide direct care for patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures and medical neurology patients. This will involve admission work-ups, daily management, and procedures. You will also be responsible for participating in QA/PI initiatives, educational conferences, and rounds. Additionally, you will be expected to support unit-based nurses and leadership, as well as participate in the education of learners.

Qualifications:
  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Active New York State license in good standing.
  • 5 years of experience as an RN, with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities:
  1. Direct care for patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures and medical neurology patients.
  2. Participate in QA/PI initiatives, educational conferences, and rounds.
  3. Support unit-based nurses and leadership.
  4. Participate in the education of learners.
