Job Description

Fort Lauderdale Independence is seeking a highly skilled Program Coordinator to join our Keys to Independence team. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a critical role in assisting youth in Florida's child welfare system with obtaining a driver's license, auto insurance, and other costs incidental to licensure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve youth applications for participation in the program
  • Review and approve requests for reimbursement by youth, caregivers, residential providers, and lead agencies
  • Advise eligible participants on the procedures for obtaining a Learner's License, Intermediate License, and Full Privilege License
  • Advise participants of available resources within their communities to meet licensure requirements
  • Track credit card receipts and documentation for check reimbursements for costs paid for by participants
  • Prepare reimbursement documentation for submission to Keys Manager
  • Compile performance measures and outcomes reports for submission to agency leadership and DCF monthly
  • Maintain project files on all participants with required documentation
  • Input and review project-related fields of participating youth in FSFN
  • Coordinate with Case Managers on new applications, clients leaving care, and other status changes
  • Assist in training of system stakeholders on the program's eligibility, application, and reimbursement processes, statewide
  • Participate in the agency strategic plan and quality improvement processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or experience in lieu of degree
  • Case Management experience and/or knowledge of financial accounting and data reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in child welfare and/or non-profit organization
  • Knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office and FSFN

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
