About the Role


We are seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services.


As a Medical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, and reviewing laboratory test results.


Our ideal candidate will have experience in a clinical or hospital setting, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.


Additionally, you will be required to complete the FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialists.


Responsibilities



  • Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent and medical history interviews
  • Evaluate donor reactions and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies
  • Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needed for medical or technical issues
  • Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
  • Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required

Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program
  • Currently licensed or certified as an EMT-Paramedic
  • Current CPR and AED certification
  • Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
  • Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
