Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Rehabilitation Aide to join our team at Duke Health. As a Rehabilitation Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting our physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient and treatment areas for care, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
  • Aid therapists with patient care under direct and/or indirect supervision, including transporting patients to proper locations and assisting with equipment maintenance.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of supplies, including linen and equipment, and ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Complete activity logs, safety logs, and other projects as assigned, and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Assist with orientation and training of volunteers and aides, and provide on-site supervision as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or related field preferred.
  • At least three years of relevant experience as a rehab aide/tech or completion of an on-the-job training period.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with patients and staff in a courteous and respectful manner.
