Beebe Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled X-Ray Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-focused environment.

About the Role

We are looking for a Registered Radiology Assistant (RRA) with expertise in diagnostic imaging procedures. As an RRA, you will be responsible for performing fluoroscopy examinations and procedures, including contrast media administration and operation of imaging equipment under the supervision of a radiologist.

You will also exercise autonomy in decision making regarding patient assessment, management, and providing diagnostic and interventional services. Your responsibilities will include obtaining informed consent, evaluating images for completeness and diagnostic quality, and participating in policy updates and review.

In addition, you will act as a liaison between referring services and radiologists, aid in communicating findings to patients and their healthcare providers, and counsel and educate patients and families. The ideal candidate will possess excellent manual dexterity, ability to work well in high-volume practices, and flexibility to learn new skills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine fluoroscopy examinations and procedures, including contrast media administration, placement of needle or catheter, and operation of imaging equipment, under the immediate available direction of a radiologist
  • Perform specialized imaging procedures under the supervision of a radiologist
  • Exercise autonomy in decision making with regards to patient assessment, patient management, and in providing a broad range of diagnostic and interventional services
  • Obtain informed consent prior to the procedure
  • Evaluate images for completeness and diagnostic quality
  • Scribe preliminary draft reports on Fluoroscopy and X-Ray exams to be reviewed and finalized by an attending radiologist
  • Participate in policy and procedure updates and review
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Previous experience as an advanced practice clinician preferred
  • Previous experience completing hospital-based procedures with or without ultrasound, fluoroscopy preferred
  • Licensure/Certification: Maintain a current BLS and ACLS certification; Registered/licensed RRA/RPA and Radiologic Technologist in the State of Delaware; In good standing and active registration with ARRT and/or CBRPA
  • Education: Master's Degree in Registered Radiologist Assistant/Health Sciences; Graduate from an ARRT approved RA program
