Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Express Employment Professionals - Keego Harbor & Wixom, MI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure optimal functioning.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests from occupants, addressing their needs with professionalism and care.
  • Safety Protocols: Conduct regular safety checks on fire alarms, emergency lighting, and other critical safety equipment to guarantee a secure environment.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of common areas, including lobbies, restrooms, and hallways, ensuring a comfortable atmosphere for tenants and visitors.
  • Supply Management: Effectively manage inventory of maintenance supplies and materials, streamlining operations and reducing waste.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in our tracking system, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless execution.
Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot various maintenance issues, adapting to new challenges with ease.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effectively interacting with diverse stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and building occupants.
  • Physical Demands: Meet physical demands of the role, including lifting heavy objects and performing manual tasks, ensuring personal safety and the safety of others.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per annum.
