Full Time Histotechnologist Needed in Southern Georgia

KA Recruiting Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Histotechnologist to join our team in Southern Georgia. As a Histotechnologist, you will be responsible for processing and preparing fixed and unfixed tissue and cytology specimens using various techniques, including histologic, frozen sectioning, immunohistochemical, in situ hybridization, and tissue microarray techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and prepare tissue and cytology specimens using histologic, frozen sectioning, immunohistochemical, in situ hybridization, and tissue microarray techniques
  • Teach and instruct other lab staff in these techniques
  • Supervise and train new staff or students as needed
  • Prepare microscopic slides for diagnostic processing, embedding, microtomy, mounting, staining, and coverslipping
  • Perform special staining techniques for interstitial elements of tissue sections
  • Contribute to corporate strategy for additional regulatory approvals
  • Assess the quality of slide preparations and troubleshoot procedures
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Science (or higher)
  • ASCP (HT or HTL) or eligible to obtain
  • Experience is preferred (but not required)
