Job OverviewAt Sterling Engineering Inc., we're seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on production and facilities support equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, technical training, and/or equivalent manufacturing experience. Key responsibilities include:
  • Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Performing equipment modifications and rebuilds
  • Conducting routine maintenance welding and minor fabrication
  • Ensuring equipment is properly maintained to manufacture a safe, legal, and quality product
  • Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to understand equipment training manuals and drawings
  • Solid mechanical aptitude combined with technical training and/or equivalent manufacturing experience
  • Advanced understanding of electrical distribution and control circuits
  • Advanced understanding of PLC theory and programming
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted; periodically lift up to 100 pounds
