The FSQA Specialist plays a vital role in our team-oriented Food Safety and Quality Assurance process. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting vendor approval assessments and desktop audits to ensure compliance with Aspire Bakeries Integrated Management System Program (AIMS) requirements.
  • Collecting, reviewing, analyzing, and filing vendor documentation to maintain accurate records.
  • Contributing to business initiatives and projects with cross-functional teams to drive quality and safety excellence.
  • Ensuring bakery vendor registers are accurate and audit-ready at all times.

Responsibilities also include verifying that all applicable Aspire Bakeries, GFSI, regulatory, and customer expectations are met regarding vendor approval and management. Additionally, the FSQA Specialist will ensure that our foods meet Aspire Bakeries standards and specifications through the use of qualified vendors.

This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in MS Outlook and Excel is required, with SAP knowledge being an asset.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with post-secondary education in Food Science, Microbiology, or Food Chemistry preferred. HACCP, PCQI, and Food Fraud training are also preferred qualifications. One to two years of related experience is desirable.

This position must be located near one of our bakery locations and commute via hybrid schedule.
