Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Painter to work under supervision and direction from a Lead or Painter II. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, including sanding and cleaning off contaminants. They will also read and understand paint specifications and product data sheets for various paint manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation: Sand, clean, and tape areas not to be painted.
• Paint Selection and Mixing: Choose and properly mix paint according to specifications.
• Work Area Maintenance: Keep the workspace, equipment, and tools clean and organized.
• Customer Focus: Meet internal and external customer needs and expectations.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED: Required education level.
• Conventional and Painting Techniques: Familiarity with conventional and painting techniques specific to manufacturing needs.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, charts, and schematics.
• Dependability and Pressure Handling: Dependable and able to work effectively under pressure, often independently.

Physical Requirements:

• Visual and Auditory Abilities: Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
• Lifting and Carrying: Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Mobility and Communication: Must be able to climb stairs, bend, carry, reach, push, and pull occasionally, and communicate verbally and in writing.
