Commercial Security Alarm Technician

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Security Alarm Technician to join our team at Brinks Home. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and inspecting low-voltage systems, working independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Install and service low-voltage systems in accordance with Brinks Home standards, the National Electric Code, and manufacturer instructions.
- Facilitate effective communication, leadership, and organization to ensure seamless service of common systems in your area.
- Service and repair common systems, assisting senior personnel with complex systems as needed.
- Provide training and support to less senior technicians.
- Responsible for customer on-boarding and ensuring a positive experience.
- Operate job-related mechanical equipment, such as bucket trucks and scissor lifts.
- Communicate work progress according to established procedures.
- Understand and complete all required paperwork, including UL, FM, and Mercantile documentation.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving industry.
- Basic knowledge of low-voltage electronic systems and their applications.
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment, meeting strict deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of Access, Fire, Intrusion, and VST systems.
- Basic understanding of IT and network infrastructure.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, plans, and job specifications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company dress code.
- Possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel.
- Pass an extensive background check and drug screening process.
- Able to obtain NICET I Certification.
