Job Summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) to join our team in Cardiology. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist professional nursing personnel in providing quality patient care, performing tasks involving direct and indirect patient care, and using skills and knowledge in basic nursing assistant procedures and techniques.
  • Provide direct patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse within the scope of the CNA licensure, including taking and recording vital signs, measuring and recording fluid intake/output, and applying dressings.
  • Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, mouth and skin care, grooming and dressing, toileting assistance, eating and hydration, and help patients walk, exercise, and move in and out of bed.
  • Maintain unit supplies by stocking patient rooms and supply areas to meet patient care needs and document relevant patient care data.
  • May provide clerical support to the unit, including order entry, chart processing, answering telephones, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Accredited Program Required: Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care facility, preferred.
  • Graduate of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs.
  • Credentials: Certified Nurse Assistant - Washington or Registered Nurse Assistant - Washington.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices, and perform hands-on CPR at least 20 minutes using lbs. of force. The ability to move around the area with frequent sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, and kneeling is also required.
