{"POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with the overall facilities maintenance under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent or Building Superintendent.

This role requires a high level of physical activity, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy objects. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliance repair, and grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities:

* Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner
* Prepare apartments for turnover within established guidelines
* Clean and maintain community buildings, laundry rooms, office buildings, maintenance shops, and grounds
* Collect debris on the property daily
* Clean parking lots and dumpster areas
* Coordinate with the Superintendent and/or Property Manager for unit inspections and follow-up on work orders
* Be available for emergency duty, such as snow removal and in case of a fire or other emergencies
* Complete incident reports within 24 hours of occurrence
* Accept maintenance requests only from the Superintendent and/or Property Manager

Qualifications:

* 3 years of experience in all facets of property maintenance
* High school graduate or equivalent
* Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, maintenance, grounds maintenance, roofing, flooring, etc.
* Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
* Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions
* Dependable and trustworthy
* Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work
* Required to assist on an on-call rotation schedule
* Use of proper safety equipment

Physical Abilities:

* Lift/Carry, Push/Pull
* Stand 12 lbs. or less
* Walk 11-20 lbs.
* Sit 21-50 lbs.
* Handling/Fingering lbs.
* Reach Outward/Above Shoulder
* Climb
* Crawl
* Squat/Kneel
* Bend

Compensation details: 24-27 Hourly Wage
