Prosecution Assistant

The Mid Oregon Personnel offers an exciting opportunity for students of law to gain valuable experience in the field of prosecution. As a Law Clerk Intern, you will be working closely with the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office, assisting attorneys with various aspects of prosecution.

• Research and prepare memoranda for attorneys.
• Assist with case management, preparation for oral arguments, and client meetings.
• Interview witnesses and gather information.

In addition to these duties, second- and third-year law students may have the opportunity to appear in court for trials and hearings under the supervision of an attorney.

• A bachelor's degree and completion of one or two years of law school at an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of criminal law and procedures.
• A valid Oregon driver's license within 30 days of hire date.

This is a temporary, non-benefited position through an outside temporary employment agency. The hourly salary for this role is $25.00.
