Responsibilities

  1. The Clinical Supervisor plays a vital administrative role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department service functions, working collaboratively with the unit Director and/or Manager.
  2. In the absence of the unit Director and/or Manager, the Clinical Supervisor assumes the administrative scope of the unit assigned.
  3. Independently recognizes and performs duties which need to be done without being directly assigned.
  4. Establishes priorities; organizes work and time to meet them.
  5. The Clinical Supervisor prepares, conducts, and/or oversees department(s) orientation and training of personnel.
  6. Supervises and evaluates personnel assigned to the unit and effectively utilizes nursing personnel, time responsibilities for the unit.
  7. Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally.
  8. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the quality of staff and functions.
  9. Ensures the efficient functions of the department.
  10. Performs direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope practice.
  11. Continually assesses care and directs staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.

Requirements

  1. Current and valid state RN License.
  2. Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
  3. Current ACLS (AHA) 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  4. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  5. RN-C within 2 years of hire preferred.
  6. PALS within 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients.
  7. Non-OB facilities: NRP certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

West Anaheim Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs.

Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $41.70 to $56.12 per hour, blended rate, with additional compensation at time and a half after 8 hours worked.
