Overview
First Physicians Group, a respected primary and specialty care group on the gulf coast of Florida, has established itself as the employed medical group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System since 1994.
We provide high-quality healthcare to our patients in the communities we serve, with over 590+ providers (physicians and advanced practice) offering care in 49 specialties across 70 different practice locations in both Manatee and Sarasota counties.
We are now actively seeking Family Medicine physicians to join our primary care offices in Sarasota and North Port, FL, as part of our continued growth and expansion into southern Sarasota County.
Key Highlights
- New opportunities to join busy collegial practices with existing volume, allowing new physicians to quickly ramp up their patient load.
- Excellent call schedules of 1:5 or greater, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
- Choices between Inpatient/Outpatient and Outpatient-only arrangements, with our Hospitalist group covering inpatient admissions at both hospitals for outpatient-only physicians.
- No obstetrics responsibilities.
- Clinic hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM, providing an excellent work-life balance.
- Clinic volume averages 18 patients per day.
- Prioritization given to physicians with an active Florida Medical license.
Compensation Package
- A 2-year guaranteed base salary contract allows for financial stability and security.
- Transition to a generous pay model after 2 years, based on performance metrics.
- A comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, long-term disability, 403B Retirement Plan, CME, paid holidays, and more.
- A Commencement bonus and Relocation Allowance are offered to support your transition to our team.
- Four weeks of PTO in year 1, increasing to five weeks in year 2 and beyond.
- Sovereign immunity as an employee of a public, State of Florida organization, eliminating the need for tail insurance.
- As a not-for-profit organization (501(c)(3)), you may participate in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program if employed by FPG.
- No state income tax in Florida.
