Business Development Manager for Architectural Sales

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at MSI. As a key member of our sales department, you will be responsible for driving business growth and promoting our products within the architectural and design community.

About the Role:

  • You will develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow revenue by $500k to $1M annually and achieve macro and micro sales targets in the architectural market segment.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, and other industry professionals to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing materials, presentations, and product samples tailored to the architectural and design audience.
  • Provide comprehensive product education and training sessions to architects, designers, and other decision-makers in the A&D space.
  • Track project opportunities through all stages of development and work cross-functionally with local and national sales and operations teams to ensure accurate execution of all project goals and timelines.
  • Maintain detailed records of project specifications, requirements, and timelines.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and expand our network within the architectural community.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities and potential challenges.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, with a focus on selling architectural products or building materials.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, and other industry professionals.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction processes, and project specifications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
