About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Surgery Recovery Room at Ascension Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL.

Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time evening shift position with a competitive salary range of $85,000 - 110,000 per year, depending on experience. Job Description

The Surgical Nurse Specialist will provide direct nursing care to patients in the Surgery Recovery Room, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, monitoring and recording patient condition, serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders, and assessing and coordinating patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Illinois Registered Nurse license
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date
  • Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire
