Job Overview

The MetroHealth System, a major teaching affiliate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, is an integrated health system handling over one million patient visits annually. As Northeast Ohio's most experienced Level 1 Trauma Center and certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, we are dedicated to the care and management of patients with various neurological disorders.

About the Role

We seek a board-certified or eligible neurologist as a NeuroHospitalist to cover a 12-bed stroke unit and provide inpatient consults. The ideal candidate will have expertise in neurological critical care and hospital medicine.

  • Responsibilities include working on a 13-week neurocritical care rotation and an 11-week Neurohospitalist/acute stroke call schedule.
  • Each work week spans from Monday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM, with no overnight in-house calls but quarterly overnight pager calls.
  • The department boasts 24/7 in-house neurology and neuro ICU APP coverage.
