Job Overview

Kalitta Charters II is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Controller to join our team at Willow Run Airport in Ypsilanti, MI.

About the Role

This critical position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all maintenance activities for Kalitta Charters II aircraft. The successful candidate will work closely with pilots, flight engineers, mechanics, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient maintenance operations.

Main Responsibilities

• ">
• Liaison with Outstation Maintenance Facilities: Establish and maintain effective communication with outstation maintenance facilities to ensure timely reporting of aircraft times, inspections, time changes, work requests, and other notable information.">
• Technical Assistance: Provide technical support to KC2 maintenance employees and contract agencies as needed.">
• MEL, CDL, and Carry-Over Controlled Items: Authorize, assign, and maintain a daily log of MEL, CDL, and carry-over controlled items, reviewing them daily to ensure parts and technical assistance are available for repairs.">
• Daily Logbook and Troubleshooting: Ensure all troubleshooting is logged into the logbook and transferred to KC2 FORM M-17A.">
• Crew Debriefing and Quality Control: De-brief layover flight crews or ride on mechanic at the end of the day flying and conduct quality control reviews of deferrals issued on the previous shift for accuracy and completeness.">
• Communication with Operations and Quality Departments: Communicate with Operations and Quality Departments as needed when aircraft maintenance status changes to ensure that they have the current status of each aircraft, including MEL, CDL, and DMI assigned to each aircraft.">

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED">
• A&P Certificate: Valid A&P license">
• Experience: Two years of experience in maintenance of large fixed-wing aircraft, Boeing 727 and 737 systems training, and a minimum one year experience on these aircraft preferred.">
