Human Resources Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to lead our HR function at our Norwalk, CA plant. As a key member of our site leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that support our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the HR function at our Norwalk site, supporting operations and functional teams.
- Collaborate with site leadership and functional teams to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies that support these goals.
- Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies, ensuring the site attracts, develops, and retains top talent.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management and team members on HR-related issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Lead initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, including change management, team development, and leadership training.
- Conduct salary assessments and reviews in partnership with corporate Total Rewards team to ensure competitive and equitable offerings that align with company policies and market trends.
- Develop and analyze HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives for the site and provide insights to leadership for informed decision-making.
- Champion DEI initiatives at the site, fostering an inclusive work environment that values diverse perspectives and experiences.
- Lead or participate in company-wide HR projects, ensuring the successful implementation of HR programs and initiatives at the site level.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of HR management experience, with at least 3 of those years in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations (especially California).
- Ability to analyze HR metrics and use data to drive decisions.
- Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Prior experience in HR leadership in a manufacturing environment.
- A background supporting production floor employees (hourly) Min 2 years of payroll processing experience and/or payroll oversight.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
