CanACRE Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled SWPPP Inspector to join our team in an exciting role working on leading edge infrastructure projects. Our team of technical experts in land, energy, and transportation development delivers accurate, innovative, and agile solutions to our partners.

The SWPPP Inspector will be responsible for inspecting construction sites to ensure compliance with project-specific Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) under the Clean Water Act, as well as compliance with erosion control regulations and applicable environmental regulations and permits. The role is primarily field-based and requires strong analytical, problem-solving skills, prioritizing and decision-making skills.

• Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify potential environmental hazards and ensure compliance with SWPPP and other relevant regulations.
• Document all inspection findings and communicate them to the Compliance Management Team.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans and mitigation measures for any identified environmental issues or hazards.
• Provide technical guidance to the project team regarding SWPPP and other environmental regulations.
• Prepare and submit environmental-related permits, when required.
• Interact with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance and obtain necessary permits.

• Post-secondary degree in Environmental Science or related field of study.
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience in SWPPP inspection and compliance.
• Experience leading field work, and coordinating with various field teams.
• Professional experience working on projects regulated under NEPA or state-equivalent.
