Job Summary

The Behavioral Support Specialist will provide behavioral supports to students within the Mariposa County Unified School District/County Office of Education. This role involves assessments, developing individual behavior plans, providing training and consultation to staff, families, and caregivers, attending team meetings, collecting and monitoring data, and collaborating with school, District staff, and outside agencies as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct assessments to identify student behavioral needs
Develop and implement individual behavior plans
Provide training and consultation to staff, families, and caregivers
Attend team meetings and collaborate with school and District staff
Collect and monitor data to inform behavioral interventions

Requirements

One year of experience working directly with students and providing behavioral support
Associate's degree or meeting MCUSD's requirements for being an instructional aide
Valid California Driver's License
Certification or Licensure for Board Certified Behavior Specialist or School Psychologist preferred

The Mariposa County Unified School District and COE is located in California's beautiful Central Foothills near Yosemite National Park.

This position is contingent on funding and will serve in our Student Support Services Department for 7.0 hours/day for the school year.
