About the Job

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmic Assistant-Certified Specialist to join our team in Puyallup, Washington. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

As an Ophthalmic Assistant-Certified Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing technical support to our optometrists and ophthalmologists, including conducting patient assessments, performing diagnostic tests, and assisting with minor surgeries. You'll also be expected to maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals, and adhere to strict safety and quality standards.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., medical assisting, ophthalmic technology)
  • Current certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant from The Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • 2 years of experience in an ophthalmic or optometric setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with contact lens patients and products
  • Graduate of an accredited medical assistant or allied health professional program
