Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Elliot Health System. As a key member of our Respiratory Therapy department, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of respiratory care services to patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer aerosolized medication, chest physiotherapy, airway clearance techniques, and hyperinflation therapy as directed by physician orders.
  • Manage oxygen administration, utilizing respiratory assessment skills and lab results to make informed decisions.
  • Conduct patient education and evaluation, assessing vital signs, breath sounds, and patient history.
  • Participate in Trauma/Code 9, Critical Assessment, and Critical Care Transport Teams.
  • Perform CPR and airway management, and assist physicians with fiberoptic bronchoscopy.
  • Initiate and change invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation according to protocol in physician's absence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Associate's Degree required and passed CRT or RRT exam.
  • State of New Hampshire Respiratory Care Practitioner license required at date of hire.
  • BLS certification required within 90 days from date of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapy credential preferred. NBRC RRT-ACCS credential preferred.
  • One-year clinical experience preferred.
