Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Highway Construction Specialist to join our team at C&T Paving in Western North Carolina.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that involves operating commercial vehicles, performing physical labor on construction sites, and assisting the onsite crew with various tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a Class A CDL License, experience in construction, and a clean driving record.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, transporting equipment to and from production sites as required.
  • Perform physical labor on construction sites, including loading and unloading equipment and assisting the onsite crew with various tasks.
  • Direct traffic to avoid disturbing asphalt work, clear the area of all equipment and machinery upon work completion, and maintain a constant flow of asphalt and other materials.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to construction processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • Class A CDL License required
  • Experience in construction or a related field
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Ability to use heavy equipment
  • Proficiency in driving commercial vehicles
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience required
