Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Autism Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and other support staff to provide individualized support and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent, and completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher learning or attainment of an Associates Degree in a related field, such as psychology or child development.
  • Two years of directly related experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Multiple Disabilities, Emotional Disturbance, or Mental Disabilities.
  • A minimum of 40 hours of direct instruction in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • A valid California driver's license.
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention and Applied Assaultive Training Certificates (required before start of assignment).
  • Completion of District-sponsored two-day Autism training.
  • Valid first aid and CPR certificates.
  • Registered Behavior Technician certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

Salary:$52,000 - $65,000 per year

Estimated Salary Range:$55,000 - $60,000 per year based on location and experience
