Software Development Engineer, EC2 Gateway Networking

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team in AWS EC2 Networking, where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing high-performance software components that form the foundation of the AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop software components that deliver new features and capabilities
- Review code of other team members and provide feedback during code reviews
- Perform root cause analysis on operational events and provide project updates to leadership and other team members
- Develop estimates for upcoming deliverables and participate in backlog reviews and planning meetings
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Compensation
The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
