Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Neurologist to join our team at VCU Health - MCV Physicians, where you will provide top-notch patient care and contribute to research initiatives in movement disorders.

About the Position

This full-time member role offers an exceptional opportunity to pursue scholarly activities, engage in medical student and neurology resident education, and participate in clinical research. The ideal candidate will have expertise in movement disorders and a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Duties: Provide comprehensive care for patients with movement disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Teaching Responsibilities: Teach medical students and housestaff, develop conferences on movement disorders, and participate in Grand Rounds.
  • Research Opportunities: Collaborate with the Division of General Neurology on clinical and translation research projects.
  • Service Commitments: Serve on departmental committees, review manuscripts, and organize conferences.

Requirements

  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Neurology
  • Completion of an accredited Cognitive/Behavioral Neurology Fellowship
  • Demonstrated experience fostering diversity in a faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU

Preferred Qualifications: An independently funded research program

Salary Information: This position offers a competitive salary range of $250,000 - $350,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
