Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year based on prior experience and overtime work available.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for an individual with experience in construction and structural steel erection to perform field and fabrication shop observations and testing. The ideal candidate will be able to report findings verbally and/or in writing and interact with project team members as needed.
- Perform field/fabrication shop observations and testing of materials for steel construction and welded/bolted connections.
- Report observations and findings to project team verbally and/or in writing.
- Interact with external project team members and senior staff members on a variety of projects, as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe workplace and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Successfully complete necessary certifications to perform testing and inspection tasks.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years' experience with construction and structural steel erection. A AWS CWI and/or ICC Welding certification is required, while ICC High Strength Bolting certification is preferred. Additionally, the candidate should be certified as MT and UT Level II or be able to acquire this certification within one year. A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record are also essential.
