Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Ambulatory Care Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being. Your expertise will play a vital role in implementing nursing practices and policies, promoting quality improvement, and collaborating with licensed providers to develop patient-centered plans of care.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer treatments and medications, monitor patient responses, and make treatment decisions as appropriate
  • Assess and interpret patient information, consulting with clinical supervisors and licensed providers to determine best treatment plans
  • Direct, supervise, and delegate tasks to LPNs, medical assistants, and technicians to support patient flow and efficiency
  • Participate in site and organizational quality improvement activities, collecting patient health data and developing patient-centered plans of care

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Sustain clinical compliance with Patient Safety initiatives and reporting
  • Support key quality initiatives, such as MIPS Care gap management, to impact clinical outcome measures
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, promote collegial relationships, and serve as a resource for nursing and other clinical staff
  • Participate in designated activities related to NYULH clinical standards and regulations of relevant outside agencies

Professional Development:

  • Engage in self-assessment, participate in activities to promote own professional growth and development
  • Seek, acquire, and maintain current nursing knowledge and competence to fulfill responsibilities as FGP Ambulatory Nurse
  • Maintain awareness of current patient-centered evidence-based practice and consider applicable research data to patient care delivery

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (highly preferred); Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing requires a minimum of one year experience in conjunction with plans to earn a baccalaureate degree
  • Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
  • Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills

Salary:

$105,999.99 - $132,500.00 Annually
