Senior Superintendent Job Description

Hypower is seeking a highly experienced Senior Superintendent to lead our Commercial Electrical Division. As a Senior Superintendent, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising electrical activities and field labor on specific projects. Your primary goal will be to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and production efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safety protocols are rigorously enforced and continuously seek ways to enhance workplace safety.
  • Uphold high-quality standards in all project aspects, from task execution to material selection, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee labor productivity, including task code development, budgeting, quantity tracking, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Project Executive and Project Manager to determine labor requirements and projections, participating in weekly meetings to ensure a common goal.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with contractors, communicating effectively with their field personnel.
  • Attend project meetings, actively engaging in discussions on schedule, constraints, and other critical issues.
  • Develop, maintain, and track project schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Plan and organize labor, tools, materials, equipment, and information to meet commitments within budget and production goals.
  • Provide technical advice and resolve field problems.
  • Supervise Assistant Superintendents and Foremen to plan and coordinate projected work activities.
  • Participate in VDC drawings/prefab review meetings and review drawings for accuracy, identifying prefab opportunities.
  • Enforce processes, best practices, quality control, and safety standards into project implementation.
  • Review and analyze technical plans, blueprints, submittals, and specifications related to the project.
  • Conduct daily job walks, documenting issues or constraints in Procore, monitoring safety and quality standards.
  • Identify staff strengths and weaknesses, recommending training opportunities to the General Superintendent.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Superintendent.
  • Proven experience managing projects larger than $15M.
  • Must be a licensed Journeyman (or equivalent).
  • Proficient in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Projects).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
