Program Coordinator

The Alaska Workforce Alliance is seeking a highly skilled Program Coordinator to support industry workforce needs across Alaska. This role will work under the direct supervision of the Executive Director to coordinate workforce development initiatives, collaborate with industry partners, and engage with stakeholders to ensure effective communication of project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and coordinate workforce development initiatives in response to Alaska's industry needs, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Assist in the implementation and advancement of the Alaska Maritime Workforce Development Plan, focusing on initiatives that address both maritime and broader workforce needs.
- Collaborate with industry members, educators, government agencies, and other stakeholders to identify workforce needs, plan solutions, and facilitate meetings and collaboration.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret industry-related data to inform workforce development strategies, using data to identify trends, track progress, and provide insights that guide decision-making.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of workforce development initiatives, ensuring that data-driven insights are used to adjust strategies as needed, and prepare and present reports on project outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and collaborate on applicable grants and funding opportunities to support workforce development efforts, ensuring compliance with funding stipulations.
- Develop and distribute information related to workforce development initiatives, reviewing and editing documents to ensure clear communication of goals and outcomes.
- Represent the Alaska Workforce Alliance at meetings, conferences, and events, raising awareness of Alaska's workforce needs across multiple industries.
- Maintain and update content related to workforce development on the Alaska Workforce Alliance website.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with equivalent experience may be substituted.
- Minimum of four years of experience in project coordination, workforce development, or a related field.
- Experience working with nonprofits, educational institutions, government agencies, or industry partners is preferred.
- Familiarity with identifying grants and funding opportunities and collaborating to ensure reporting requirements are met.
- Must be an Alaskan resident with a valid state driver's license.
