Job Summary:

As a Practical Nurse with the Defense Health Agency, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify health needs and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to healthcare providers
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans

Requirements:

Current licensure as a practical or vocational nurse in a State, territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia
One year of nursing experience in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other supervised medical, nursing, or patient care facility
Strong knowledge of human body structure and sterile techniques and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
