Firefighter/Paramedic

The City of Allen is seeking a highly skilled Firefighter/Paramedic to join our team. As a Firefighter/Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing fire and medical services to the community, responding to emergency calls, and performing a variety of tasks to protect lives and property.

**Job Summary**

The Firefighter/Paramedic will be responsible for:

* Responding to emergency calls and providing fire and medical services
* Performing fire suppression activities, including operating fire equipment and apparatus
* Providing patient care and administering advanced life support
* Maintaining fire-fighting and paramedic equipment and apparatus
* Educating the community on fire safety and first aid procedures

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Texas Commission on Fire Protection Firefighter (Structural) Certification
* Texas Department of State Health Services Paramedic Certification or License
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
* Strong communication and teamwork skills

**Working Conditions**

* Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to emergency situations
* May be required to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and apparatus
