This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nurse Care Specialist. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will work in a dynamic environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of individuals we serve.

The estimated salary for this position is $20 per hour, plus a welcome bonus of $3000. This is a fantastic role to continue your nursing career path and work within a setting that offers variety and rewarding challenges.

You will have a large impact by providing nursing services, training, and supports to address the medical or psychiatric needs of individuals with a brain injury, intellectual and developmental disability, a substance use disorder, and/or has an emotional or behavioral disability.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the health conditions of individuals served and ensuring quality services are provided
  • Administering medications and providing documentation, as well as overseeing and monitoring staff members who administer medications
  • Providing prescribed medical treatment by physician's orders and personal care services
  • Conducting assessments, implementing healthcare services to be included in each Individual Service Plan (ISP), and responding to changes of condition
  • Providing training to staff members, including universal precautions, infection control, and medication administration
  • Serving as liaison and advocate with other medical and professional service providers

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's Degree in Nursing or related field, or a graduate of an accredited LPN program
  • One year of experience working with the population served in a nursing capacity
  • A current state LPN or LVN License
  • A current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
  • Additional certifications as required by state licensing regulations, such as CPR/FA and HIV/AIDS certification, BBP, and ACT training
