About the Role:

We are offering a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to patients in the OB/GYN Emergency Department, utilizing advanced nursing skills and knowledge to assess, diagnose, and treat complex medical conditions.
  • Lead clinical initiatives to improve patient outcomes, quality of care, and patient satisfaction, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop and implement education programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills, promoting evidence-based practice and best practices in patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, develop treatment plans, and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement, develop and implement changes, and measure the impact of interventions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines that promote safe and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, treatment plans, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Parkland Health's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Texas or eligibility for licensure by examination or endorsement.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a RN in an emergency department or critical care setting, with a strong focus on OB/GYN care.
  • Advanced certification in a relevant specialty, such as CEN, TNCC, or PALS.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including patients, families, physicians, and colleagues.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive quality improvements and patient-centered care.
  • Proven track record of achievement in quality improvement, process improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
