Job Description

The Advanced Orthopedic Nurse Specialist will evaluate, plan, and provide care for patients under the direct supervision of an attending physician. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' medical histories and physical conditions to determine the best course of treatment.
  • Perform various clinical procedures, including medical screening and physical examinations, as directed by attending physicians.
  • Order laboratory tests and interpret results to inform treatment decisions.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting healthy behaviors and self-management skills.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A valid Texas RN license and current certification as a nurse practitioner.
  • A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Current CPR certification and DEA license.
  • Experience in orthopedics and spine surgery preferred.
  • Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
