Job Summary

The Graduate Nurse Residency Program is specifically designed using QSEN's knowledge, skills, and attitudes while incorporating our Planetree Philosophy. Our culture of teamwork, professionalism, and respect creates a unique environment where patients and caregivers want to be.

As a Graduate Nurse Resident, you will participate in research and evidence-based care, advance critical thinking ability, and improve clinical decision-making skills. You will also become engaged as an entry-level nurse leader at Griffin Hospital.

Program Details

The 12-month residency program includes preceptor-led orientation, sign-off paperwork, professional development opportunities, and pathways to continue growth. You can explore different career paths, such as ADN-BSN, BSN-MSN, or Med-Surg to other areas like tele, CRCU, ED, or OR.

Requirements

To be eligible for this program, you must graduate (or have graduated) from an accredited school of nursing, possess a valid Connecticut RN license, and hold BLS certification. If you are a new graduate nurse, you must have your RN license number available before the start date of Hospital Orientation.
