Job Title: Front Line Teller

City Bank is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Line Teller to join our team. As a Front Line Teller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and handling a variety of lobby and drive-thru service transactions in a professional, timely, and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent the bank in a courteous and professional manner, providing prompt, efficient, and accurate service to customers.
  • Prepare the teller window to be organized and ready to serve customers by regularly scheduled opening times.
  • Maintain a high level of security awareness and follow established bank policies and procedures.
  • Process transactions, including accepting checks and cash for deposit, verifying deposit amounts, and examining checks for endorsement and negotiability.
  • Cash checks and pay money from savings and checking accounts upon verification of signatures and customer account balances.
  • Receive payments for loans, including mortgage, installment, and commercial loans, and ensure that payments equal the amount due.
  • Assist with working night depository bags/envelopes, dropped bags, and handling bank-by-mail deposits.
  • Issue cashier's checks to customers and prepare cash advance requests, obtaining proper authorization.
  • Maintain MC/EMV supplies and redeem E/EE/I savings bonds for customers only.
  • Accept stop payments on ACH items and checks and apply them according to procedure.
  • Accept and exchange foreign currency by working through a corresponding bank.
  • Complete Monetary Instrument Log information through the Teller system for the purchase of a monetary instrument (cashier's check) with cash starting at $3,000.
  • Complete Currency Transaction information through the Teller system for cash transactions over $5,000 or over $10,000.
  • Prepare wire transfer requests according to procedure.
  • Balance the teller window daily and provide a signed teller tape to the supervisor to confirm daily balancing.
  • Perform opening and closing responsibilities when assigned.
  • Set up preauthorized transactions, direct deposits, and change of addresses.
  • Respond to customer account inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide customers with copies of statements.
  • Verify incoming cash shipments under dual control if requested.
  • Maintain the ATM on a daily basis, handling deposits, balancing, replenishing cash and supplies.
  • Admit customers identified by signature comparison to the safe deposit vault area.
  • Answer phones and e-mails in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Review items scanned into Teller Capture for accuracy.
  • Know, understand, and locate all policies and procedures relative to teller operations and customer service functions.
