Role Overview

AMN Healthcare is partnering with a well-respected school district in California to hire a highly motivated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position. As a Therapy Specialist, you will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services that support students' academic and social development.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with goals for students with speech and language needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Train and resource teachers and staff on effective strategies to integrate speech therapy goals into the classroom environment.

Required Qualifications

We are seeking a qualified Speech/Language Pathologist with:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
  • Maintenance of accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
