Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Script Editor to join our team. As a department lead, you will be responsible for overseeing daily tasks, allocating workload, and coordinating with the dubbing production team to meet deadlines.

You will work closely with the dubbing adaptation supervisor to create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed and collaborate with other departments to improve existing workflows.

The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, quick to learn, and brings prior localization experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead and train others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and work with script editors to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining quality of output.
  • Evaluate capacity and distribute tasks effectively across the department.
  • Liaise between the scripting and dubbing production teams.
  • Work with producers to track due dates and reschedule tasks as needed.
  • Create and update script-related SOPs.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of all scripting tasks and perform them on a daily basis.
Requirements
  • Native fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • An understanding of post-production, particularly regarding localization and project management.
  • The ability to lead and train others.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Strong computer literacy (Windows & MacOS).
  • Familiarity with timeline-based video/sound/text editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools, Mosaic, VoiceQ, EZ Titles...).
  • Knowledge of various dub scripting tools.
  • The ability to constructively process feedback and work efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Prior supervisory experience highly desired.
Estimated Salary Range:$26-$32/hour

This is a full-time position requiring excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to lead and train others. The successful candidate will have prior experience in localization, a solid understanding of post-production, and proficiency in relevant software.
