Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter Paramedic/Firefighter Recruit to join our team at the City of Sachse, TX. As a Firefighter Paramedic/Firefighter Recruit, you will be responsible for performing specialized duty work functions in preparing for and responding to fire/medical emergency calls and providing general support within the Fire Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining readiness for emergency call response
  • Responding to fire, medical, and related emergency calls when dispatched and taking proper action
  • Educating staff and public on fire safety/prevention
  • Performing other tasks related to City and Fire Department activities under the direction of the Fire Lieutenants
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid State of Texas class B driver's license or ability to obtain within six months of hire date
  • Certified as a Paramedic by the Texas Department of State Health Services at time of hire
  • Current certification as a Firefighter in accordance with Texas Commission on Fire Protection and licensed as a Paramedic in the State of Texas at date of hire
