About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our fast-paced Radiology Department at Texas Health Plano. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing complex procedures, including age-related criteria and developmental considerations. You will also be responsible for explaining procedures to patients or guardians/family members, positioning patients to correct anatomical areas of interest, and maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex procedures, including age-related criteria and developmental considerations
  • Explain procedures to patients or guardians/family members
  • Position patients to correct anatomical areas of interest
  • Maintain attention to detail
  • Process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required
  • Associate degree preferred
  • One-year medical imaging experience required
  • One year of MRI experience preferred
  • Two years of MRI experience highly preferred
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (MR) upon hire required or ARMRIT - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists upon hire required or ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) upon hire required or ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) upon hire required or ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (N) upon hire required or NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board CNMT upon hire required and CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist if ARRT(R), (CT), (N) or CNMT upon hire required and ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (MR) if ARRT(R), (CT), (N) or CNMT within 12 months required or ARMRIT - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists if ARRT(R), (CT), (N) or CNMT within 12 months required
