Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with therapy activities and exercises as scheduled in a treatment plan, under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
  • Provide, monitor, and record therapy services to patients with physical, cognitive, developmental, and psychosocial impairments.
  • Select, implement, and modify therapeutic activities and interventions based on patient needs and goals.
  • Contribute to the development of patient care plans and provide documentation to occupational therapists.
  • Follow accepted clinical practice guidelines and maintain knowledge of patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state(s) of practice.
  • Certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) when working at a Sanford Health Facility.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.
