About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Scientist/Director, Chemical Biology to join our team at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for leading and managing our chemical biology efforts, with a focus on developing novel therapeutics for cancer treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of researchers in the development of novel chemical biology approaches for cancer treatment
  • Design and execute experiments to identify and validate new targets for cancer therapy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new drug discovery strategies
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the latest advances in chemical biology and their applications in cancer research
  • Communicate research findings and progress to internal stakeholders and external partners
Requirements
  • PhD in Chemical Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a research or industry setting, with a focus on chemical biology and drug discovery
  • Proven track record of leading and managing research teams and projects
  • Strong understanding of cancer biology and the latest advances in chemical biology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
