We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team at Saint James Health in Newark, NJ. As a key member of our compliance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization operates in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Job Summary

The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will be responsible for overseeing federal grant compliance, ambulatory care licensing compliance, and Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) compliance. This includes monitoring and ensuring adherence to grant conditions, preparing and submitting required reports and documentation, conducting regular internal audits, and collaborating with the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

In addition, the successful candidate will maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal licensing requirements, prepare for and coordinate inspections and audits by regulatory bodies, address any compliance issues identified during inspections and audits, and ensure compliance with all board governance requirements and bylaws.

Main Responsibilities
  • Federal Grant Compliance:
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all federal grant requirements;
  • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to federal agencies;
  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to grant conditions;
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Ambulatory Care Licensing Compliance:
  • Ensure the facility and all its operations comply with ambulatory care licensing regulations;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal licensing requirements;
  • Prepare for and coordinate inspections and audits by regulatory bodies;
  • Address any compliance issues identified during inspections and audits.
  • Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with FTCA requirements for liability coverage;
  • Prepare and submit FTCA-related documentation and reports;
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to minimize liability;
  • Provide training and education to staff on FTCA requirements and compliance.

We offer a competitive salary of $83,400 per year, based on industry standards and market conditions in Newark, NJ. The position is full-time, and occasional travel may be required for training and conferences. We are an equal opportunity employer and encourage diversity in the workplace.
