Mammography Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Quadrant. The ideal candidate will have experience in mammography imaging and a strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform screening breast imaging procedures and related techniques.
  • Ensure services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as part of the imaging center team and seek feedback for improved clinical practice.
  • Relay and document verbal, written, and electronic orders in the patient's medical record.
  • Verify informed consent, if applicable.
  • Assume responsibility for patient needs during procedures.
  • Apply principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.
  • Identify, prepare, and/or administer medications as prescribed by and under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification is recorded.
  • Provide education to patients, as well as students and other health care providers.
  • Perform ongoing quality assurance activities.
Requirements:
  • Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
  • Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT or American Registry of Clinical Radiologic Technologists.
  • Have High School diploma.
